“Early summer plunge, that’s what I would be having”… and so I thought. Not under the sun though. I will have mine with friends after sundown. It was a couple of years back, since I’d been in one of these swimming resorts here  in Antipolo. I’ve been to Villa Virginia and this time it’s Suvas Resort.

Swimming is such a good respite from the heat and sweat of the metropolis. Earlier that day, John asked me if I want to come, together with some of the employees in the factory his sister owns.

It turned out I had some fun albeit it wasn’t much fun either since I wasn’t really in good form for this strenuous activity. I didn’t have enough re-conditioning in my sleep, so this is one of the causes for feeling this way. I needed to process my thoughts and decided that stretching my extremities would make a good deal out of it.

Around 6pm when John texted for my confirmation. Still I was hesitant and was thinking not to go since I wasn’t really feeling good. I always listen and heed to what my body have to say.

But there I went just the same. I was thinking of bringing the car but opted not to because I don’t want to drive when I’m drunk. The fare going up to Antipolo is P25 plus the trike so its a compromise on saving up gas in lieu of driving.

We traveled by jeepney to Sharon’s house and every busied body worked in preparing for the food. An hour after we were already in the water and having some games.

To Do list before going to swim:

• Take a full body rest a day before
• A good night sleep is needed
• Don’t forget your swim wear, soap, lotion
• Take a bunch of food stuff with you, whey protein choco bar will help sustain your energy
• Check your cellphone battery status if its fully-charged
• Bring digital camera

John and the rest were inviting me to go for the water slides but since I was getting cold due to weak stamina, I told them I’d rather watch them. I could see in their faces that they really had a good time. One really had to prepare physically during this occasion if you want to make the most out of it, unfortunately I wasn’t. Better be in top form next time around, I promised myself.

I had to decide to go home. Its already 4:30 in the morning. John seemed ready to slide his body on the bench and sleep. And so I left and whispered on his ears that I’m leaving. Restless, as soon as I got into my room, literally crawled myself to bed..  and in a few seconds, moved to the next phase, the subconsious world.
