Wearing High Quality Footwear
There is something very empowering about putting on a pair of quality shoes. It is no coincidence that fairy tales have used the symbolism of shoes to evoke powerful change in people’s lives. In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy relied on the magical powers of her ruby slippers and Cinderella’s life was irrevocably transformed by a glass slipper. So, what is the moral of the story? If the shoe fits don’t hesitate to wear it proudly as you may never know to which enchanted places it may take you. No wonder it feels as if you have fallen under a spell when you stare at a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes – the Clue is in wearing the shoe.
Shoes not only affect how we walk in life but also how we feel. Nancy Sinatra felt that boots gave her protection and fearlessness when she sang: “These boots are made for walking and that’s just what they’ll do and one of these days they’re gonna walk over you.” In difficult times a supportive pair of shoes allows one to walk tall, literally and figuratively. The reason for this may be attributed to the fact that whenever you head hangs too low, your footwear will be there to put a smile on your face.
Dreaming About Shoes
It is no surprise that many women spend much of their time dreaming about the perfect pair of shoes. Stepping into a pair of dazzling shoes is like walking on sunshine as you radiate with chutzpah and confidence. Admittedly, balancing yourself on 5 inch heels 24/7 can be considered a bit masochistic but permitting your feet to kill you is not the worst kind of death that you could suffer. However, keep in mind that shoes are not exclusively made for walking. When Oprah was asked how she managed to walk in a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps she smiled and explained that they were not for walking but just for sitting. This may be a luxury that many people can’t afford but as Winfrey stated before, she still has her feet firmly on the ground, she just wears better shoes now.
It seems that fantasizing about fancy footwear is much safer than actually dreaming of shoes. According to dream analysis experts, dreaming that you are not wearing any shoes indicates that you are suffering from low self-esteem and a lack of confidence in yourself. In addition it also represents poverty, lack of mobility or misunderstanding. Alternatively, if you dream that you lose your shoes, it suggests that you are on a quest of self-discovery to find your identity.
Advantages of Buying Shoes
These days you can even discover your ideal body in a pair of cleverly designed shoes. Reebok has recently introduced Easytone shoes which promises to tone leg and butt muscles with every step. It works according to balance ball inspired technology with moving air which creates micro-instability. Apparently the new technology promises to put a spring in your step while simultaneously preventing your butt from wobbling. You definitely don’t have to feel guilty when buying shoes like these and in case you do, simply stop your gym contract, after all, these shoes promise to keep you in shape.
This brings me to another advantage of shoes – they will always fit you, unlike your favourite pair of jeans. If you gained a few pounds, you will not escape the suffocating judgement of your skinny jeans whereas your shoes will always make you feel fantastic despite any weight fluctuations you may experience. Furthermore, high heels enhance the attractiveness of your legs by accentuating muscles that often go unnoticed. Undisputedly, this leaves you feeling much sexier and desired compared to walking around barefoot.
Do you Really Need Another Pair of Shoes?
So, do you really need another pair of shoes? The sole truth is of course you do! As long as you don’t chew on them at the end of the month because you are hungry, why not?
Please do not spend any sleepless nights torturing yourself with this rhetorical question, if it bothers you so much put a horseshoe on your door and forget about the problem. Who knows, you may be lucky enough to find a brand new pair of shoes next to the foot of your bed in the morning.
Remember, armed with the right pair of shoes there is no stopping you, as Dr. Seuss so eloquently stated: “You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” Thus, go on and embrace your inner sole!
